LIFE SKILLS PROGRAM

The ICY Life Skills Training Program is a formal and structured intervention program that is geared toward assisting differently-abled children and adults in coping with their evolving realities. Set amidst a culture of inclusion, this program aims to assist these individuals in becoming as independent as possible in the performance of their daily tasks and in the management of their personal affairs. Through the Life Skills Training Program, ICY enables individuals to become productive and contributing members of society, bestowing upon them a sense of dignity and high self-worth.

At ICY, parents, families, friends, community members and differently-abled individuals engage in mutually beneficial relationships as each assumes more participatory roles in the entire intervention process. Students are decision-makers, evaluators, planners, providers of support, and are considered to be invaluable resources.
